R&A provides Software Engineering support for the development and maintenance of software models and simulation systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in the development and/or use of software models to simulate a variety of conditions such as disaster recovery, ships at sea, logistics movement, combat air support and joint force maneuvers. Skills in software design, programming and analysis, with a BS or MS in a technical field are sought. These positions are in our Monterey and Virginia locations.

The ideal Senior Analyst/Programmer candidate will have 8 to 10 years of military experience, a graduate degree in area such as Mathematics, Operations Research or Computer Science, a willingness to travel, a demonstrated capability in creating software from the design through implementation stages, and be a US Citizen. C, C++ or Java languages and a background in Unix are required. Each higher position requires a correspondingly rigorous skill set.
